Ten FC Krasnodar players, virtually half of the first team, departed to various national teams to take part in matches that will be staged under the aegis of FIFA in the first half of September 2018.
As previously reported, midfielders Yury Gazinsky and Dmitry Stotsky were summoned by Stanislav Cherchesov to the Russia national team in order to play a UEFA Nations League match against Turkey (7 September, Trabzon, 21.45 MSK) and a friendly game with Czech Republic (10 September, Rostov-on-Don, 19.00).
Defender Uroš Spajić departed to Team Serbia that will play against Lithuania in Vilnius on 7 September and meet Romania at home in Belgrade on 10 September.
Another centre-back, Aleksandr Martynovich, was seconded to the Belarus national team that will meet San Marino in Minsk on 8 September and then take on Moldova in Chisinau on 11 September.
Their colleague Jón Guðni Fjóluson was called under the banner of the Iceland national team for games against Switzerland (St. Gallen, 8 September) and Belgium (Reykjavík, 11 September).
Midfielder Tornike Okriashvili is about to cap for the Georgia national team again after a long break caused by injuries. The Crusaders are facing Kazakhstan in Astana on 6 September and Latvia at home on 9 September.
The four a/m foreign players of FC Krasnodar are preparing exclusively for the UEFA Nations League games. As for midfielder Viktor Claesson, his Sweden national will play one friendly game (same way as Team Russia will) with Austria in Wien on 6 September. Three days later, on 9 September, the Blågult will meet Turkey at home in Stockholm. It will be a fixture of the same UEFA Nations League group where our compatriots are playing, Group 2 of League B.
Midfielder Christian Cueva and his Peru national team will make a trip to Europe. Los Incas are facing two away friendly games, with Netherlands in Amsterdam on 6 September and with Germany in Sinsheim on 9 September.
Left-back Christian Ramírez will take a trip to USA. His Ecuador national team will hold a scrimmage against Jamaica in Harrison, New Jersey on 8 September.
And last but not least, defensive midfielder Charles Kaboré departed to the Burkina Faso national team that will play an away game of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification vs. Mauritania on 8 September.
