Two FC Krasnodar players have capped for their national teams in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification matches that were held on the first two days of September 2017.

Striker Andrei Ivan helped the Romania national team to beat Armenia 1-0 at home on 1 September. He came in as a substitution on the 74th minute and took part in the final assault launched by his team that resulted in a winning goal scored by Alexandru Maxim on the first minute of the injury time. With three matchdays remaining Ivan and his Team Romania partners are fourth in the UEFA Group E, but there is still a chance for them to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.

Burkina Faso national team and their captain, FC Krasnodar midfielder Charles Kaboré, held a super important away game against Senegal on 2 September. The Krasnodar player spent a full 90 minutes on pitch in the match that resulted in a 0-0 tie. This result allowed Les Étalons to keep the first position in their group that will qualify its holder directly for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia. Both national teams will meet again in three days, in Burkina Faso this time.
