Today, 20 July 2017, FC Krasnodar got to know their opposition team for the 2017-18 UEFA Europa League Third qualifying round. The Bulls will meet Lyngby Boldklub from Denmark.
The club from the town of Kongens Lyngby (this is in fact the suburb of Copenhagen) beat ŠK Slovan Bratislava 2-1 at home in the match of the UEL Second qualifying round. During the course of the game both teams failed to score a penalty kick. The visitors missed a PK with the score still 0-0, while the home team did the same when they were already leading 2-0. Since the Danish team also won the first leg game in Bratislava 1-0, it means that they are to play now against the players of Igor Shalimov on 27 July at the FC Krasnodar Stadium. The second leg game of the Q3 stage will be staged at the Lyngby Stadion on 3 August.
