News
Spajić helped Serbia qualify directly for the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals

Five FC Krasnodar players took part in the second slot of the November international games. Team Serbia has qualified directly for the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals. Russia and Sweden retain chances to enter the finals via play-offs.

  • Matvei Safonov displayed a fantastic performance in a game vs. Croatia, but an own goal by Fyodor Kudryashov on the 81st minute prevented the Russia national team from keeping a nil-nil tie alive along with the first position in their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification group. As a result, the Russians ranked second, so they are now facing the play-offs. Aleksei Ionov made an early appearance and was substituted on the 57th minute.
  • Uroš Spajić helped his Serbia national team achieve a 2-1 comeback win in Portugal and qualify for the World Cup finals directly. The Krasnodar centre-back entered the game on the 65th minute. The decisive goal was scored by Aleksandar Mitrović on the 90th minute.
  • Team Sweden lost 1-0 to Spain away and kept the second position in Group B. The Blågult are now facing the play-offs, just like the Russians. Viktor Claesson spent a full 90 on a field of play.
  • The Armenia national team lost to Germany 4-1 in Yerevan and ranked fourth in Group J. Eduard Spertsyan played a full 90.
