Ionov Beat Malta, Krychowiak Tied with England

FC Krasnodar players have capped for their national teams

Several players of FC Krasnodar took part in the third slot of the September fixtures of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification and the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying competition.

The Russia national team beat Malta 2-0 in Moscow and goes on sharing the first position with Croatia due to the same amount of points earned in Group H. Aleksei Ionov made an early appearance in the game and was substituted by Zhemaletdinov on the 79th minute.

Team Poland achieved a comeback tie with England at home thanks to a goal scored by Szymański in the injury time. Grzegorz Krychowiak spent the first 68 minutes on a field of play and left it when the score was still 0-0.

The Armenia national team failed to beat Liechtenstein (1-1 as a result) but they still kept the second position in Group J. Eduard Spertsyan was present on the bench but he never took part in game action.

Viktor Claesson spent 77 minutes in the match of Greece vs. Sweden, but the game ended badly for the Blågult. In the last thirty minutes the Swedes conceded two goals and suffered a 2-1 defeat. This is the first loss of Sweden and the first win of Greece in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.

The Russian Junior Team (U-21) totally smashed Malta 6-0 in a game of the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification. FC Krasnodar goalkeeper Stanislav Agkatsev stayed in reserve.
