Nine FC Krasnodar players had been summoned to the international games that were held under the aegis of FIFA on 8 and 9 October. The Russia national team held a scrimmage against Team Sweden. Interestingly enough, it turned out several FC Krasnodar players found themselves on opposite sides. The Blågult won 2-1 with the winning goal scored after a pass by Kristoffer Olsson who had been fielded on the 46th minute. Viktor Claesson made an appearance on the 77th minute, too. As for the Russian side, Yuri Gazinsky began the game with the starting eleven and played almost 74 minutes before his substitution.

Aleksandr Martynovich played a full 90 for his Belarus national team in a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying match with Georgia. The White Wings suffered a minimal loss. The only goal was scored by ex-Krasnodar Tornike Okriashvili who earned a penalty kick and executed it himself on the 7th minute.

The Russia national U-21 team goes on racing to the UEFA Euro 2021 finals with Team Poland in close pursuit. A smashing 4-0 win over Estonia allowed the team led by Mikhail Galaktionov to become a sole leader of Group 5, even though Poland had had one game less. Goalkeeper Matvei Safonov played a full 90 minutes between the sticks and achieved a clean sheet. Also, midfielders Daniil Utkin and Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov came in as substitutions on the 46th and 61st minute, respectively. Following the results of this match, Matvei Safonov was summoned to the principal national team of our country. Safonov is to take part in the pre-match session on the eve of the UEFA Nations League clash vs. Turkey on 11 October. This is his first call-up to the Russia national team.
