Nine FC Krasnodar Players Departed to Their National Teams

Including two players who went to Team Russia

Nine FC Krasnodar players have been summoned to the international matches that will be staged under the aegis of FIFA in early October 2020.

Yuri Gazinsky and Igor Smolnikov left for the Team Russia training ground. In addition to them Stanislav Cherchesov called up FC Krasnodar Academy-trained Daniil Fomin and Nikolay Komlichenko (both are now at FC Dynamo Moscow). The national team of our country will play a home scrimmage against Sweden on 8 October, and then they are facing two home matches of the UEFA Nations League on October 11 and 14 (vs. Turkey and Hungary respectively).

Kristoffer Olsson, Viktor Claesson and Marcus Berg were summoned to the Sweden national team. Apart from the named scrimmage against Russia, the Blågult will also play two away games of the UEFA Nations League, vs. Croatia (11 October) and Portugal (14 October).

Aleksandr Martynovich traveled to join Team Belarus. The White Wings will play with Georgia (8 October, away), Lithuania (11 October, away) and Kazakhstan (14 October, home).

Three Academy-trained Bulls currently performing for FC Krasnodar will play for the Russia national U-21 team. They are goalkeeper Matvei Safonov, centre-back Daniil Utkin and winger Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov. As a part of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification the Russian Junior Team will meet Estonia at home on 9 October and Latvia away on 13 October.
