Ten FC Krasnodar players have been called to the international matches of their national teams to be staged under the aegis of FIFA in early September 2020.
Yury Gazinsky, Sergei Petrov, and Yegor Sorokin traveled to the Russia national team that is facing two matches of the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League. Apart from them, at the last minute Stanislav Cherchesov also summoned Daniil Fomin and Nikolay Komlichenko, FC Krasnodar Youth Academy-trained players currently playing for FC Dynamo Moscow. The national team of our country will meet Serbia at home on 3 September and Hungary away on 6 September.
Aleksandr Martynovich will join Team Belarus. The Krasnodar centre-back will play two UEFA Nations League matches with The White Wings, vs. Albania at home on 4 September and vs. Kazakhstan away on 7 September.
Kristoffer Olsson and Marcus Berg have been called to the Sweden national team that is facing two home games of the UEFA Nations League (with France on 5 September and with Portugal on 8 September).
Four Krasnodar Youth Academy-trained players currently registered with FC Krasnodar will play for the Russia national under-21 football team. They are goalkeepers Matvei Safonov and Denis Adamov, central midfielder Daniil Utkin, and winger Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov. In addition, two more Academy-trained players have been called there, striker Ivan Ignatyev (FC Rubin Kazan) and midfielder Artyom Golubev (FC Ufa). The Russian Junior Team will play two games of the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification, vs. Bulgaria at home on 4 September and vs. Poland away on 8 September.
