More FC Krasnodar players have capped for the national teams

Matches of the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying were played in Europe on 23 and 24 March. Four FC Krasnodar players took part in them.

Last Saturday Team Sweden began their UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying career with a home 2-1 win over Romania in Group F. Two FC Krasnodar midfielders, Viktor Claesson and Kristoffer Olsson, made a valuable contribution to this success and displayed very confident performance throughout the full 90 minutes. What’s more, Claesson scored a decisive goal after an accurate shot on the run on the 40th minute making the score 2-0. The Romanians were able to shorten the gap, but the Blågult won the game anyway earning three well-deserved points and placing them on their piggy bank.

Midfielder Yury Gazinsky played a full game for the Russia national team that was staged away against Kazakhstan on 24 March. Largely due to his mature performance our compatriots dominated the midfield and totally smashed the opposition as a result. The final score was 4-0 in favor of the Russians. It should be noted that after Dzyuba had been substituted, Yury Gazinsky finished the game wearing the captain’s armband. After the two matchdays Team Russia holds the third position in the Group I with three points earned.

Aleksandr Martynovich captained his Belarus national team throughout the 90 minutes in an away game against Northern Ireland.  The White Wings suffered a 2-1 defeat after conceding a decisive goal on the 87th minute. They hold the last position in the Group C standings with no points earned after the two matchdays.
