News
Four FC Krasnodar players have capped for their national teams

Matches of the national teams were held in Europe on the evening of 15 November. Four FC Krasnodar representatives took part in them.

Two Bulls made an early appearance for Team Russia in an away friendly with Germany in Leipzig. This game became a debut with the Russia national team for Ari the striker who spent 55 minutes on a field of play. As for midfielder Yury Gazinsky, he played a full 90 minutes as a team captain. The game resulted in a 3-0 win of the home team. All goals were scored in the first half.

Centre-back Jón Guðni Fjóluson also played a full 90 minutes for his Iceland national team in a UEFA Nations League fixture vs. Belgium in Brussels. The home team celebrated a 2-0 win. Accordingly, Belgium is the leader of the League A Group 1 with nine points earned while Switzerland ranks second with 6 points. Team Iceland has finished their League A career with no points on their piggy bank and has been relegated to League B.

Centre-back Aleksandr Martynovich, the team captain of FC Krasnodar, was probably the happiest person on the evening of 15 November. He efficiently managed the defense of the Belarus national team in an away game against Luxembourg and contributed to the 2-0 win of his squad. After this win over their principal rival, Team Belarus has become the leader of the League D Group 2 with 11 points. In order to qualify for the following play-off tournament and, subsequently, for the trip to UEFA Euro 2020, Martynovich and his partners should merely avoid defeat in an away game with San Marino (who have earned no points so far) on the final matchday of the group stage.
