Andrei Ivan to Become a Player of FC Krasnodar

FC Krasnodar seeks to strengthen its attacking line with Andrei Ivan. The 20-year-old forward of the Romania national team will move to the black-green squad from CS Universitatea Craiova.

Andrei Virgil Ivan was born on 4 January 1997 in the town of Moreni, Romania. He had attended the football school at the club of the same name until the age of 15, and after that he spent one year training at Sporting Pitești. In December 2013 the young gifted forward was signed by the Clubul Sportiv Universitatea Craiova. Andrei made eight appearances in the spring past of the season 2013/14 scoring one goal and helping his team to get elevated to the top-tier league of his country.

Ivan’s debut in the Romanian Liga I took place on 2 August 2014 in a game against FC Steaua București. He came in as a substitution eight minutes to the full-time and managed to score a goal before the final whistle was sounded. In total he made 19 appearances in the season 2014/15, and he began the next championship as a principal forward of his team. He had taken part in the 101 official games for CS U Craiova by now with 19 goals and 18 assists on his record. In the opening match of the new Romanian championship last weekend he appeared early in the match where his team beat CSM Politehnica Iași 2-0 and Andrei marked himself with an assist.

Andrei Ivan has been summoned to the Romania national youth teams of various ages since 2012. He displayed some decent performance in the Romania national U-21 team, and in November 2015 he made his debut with the first national team of his country. Since then he has capped four more times for the Team Romania, but so far he has scored no goals there.

As for now CS Universitatea Craiova and FC Krasnodar have agreed upon the transfer of Andrei Ivan. The player will arrive to Krasnodar very soon, and after he passes a medical exam he will sign a 5-year personal contract with the Bulls.
