The MD 25 fixture of the ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship 2015/16 vs. FC Ufa became the 100th official match for FC Krasnodar Swedish defender Andreas Granqvist he made an appearance in with the black-greens. We congratulate our team captain with this anniversary and wish him a successful continuation of his career in the Krasnodar club.
Andreas Granqvist moved to FC Krasnodar from the Italian club Genoa in July 2013. His 100 appearances for the Bulls are composed of the 71 matches of the Russian Football Championship, 8 matches of the Russian Cup and 21 matches of the UEFA Europa League. Andreas made 23 appearances in the Season 2013/14, 38 appearances in the Season 2014/15 and 39 apps in the current Season 2015/16. If calendar years are to be taken into consideration, Granqvist took part in 10 official games in 2013, in 39 games in 2014, in 41 games in 2015 and in 10 games this year.
In his playing shirt with a bull depicted on a Club emblem and an unfailing No. 6 on his back the Swedish player scored 5 goals (one of those from a PK) and made one assist to his partners. Granqvist made an early appearance in 99 matches, and he came in as a substitution only once. During the course of the game Andreas was substituted for another player only three times, and one more time he was unable to play the match to the end due to a red card; this event took place in his first season with the Bulls in a home game vs. FC Rubin Kazan when he was sent off pitch for a desperate foul on the 29th minute. In total Granqvist was booked 18 times by the referees.
In the 100 fixtures with Andreas on the pitch FC Krasnodar celebrated 53 wins, tied 25 times and suffered 22 defeats. If a 3-point system is applied to all these games, the Club received 184 points or 61.33 percent of the total possible amount. Here is the breakdown by tournaments for the results of the matches Granqvist took part in: 38 wins, 18 ties and 15 losses in the Russian Football Championship; 5 wins, 1 tie and 2 losses in the Russian Cup; 10 wins, 5 ties and 6 losses in the UEFA Europa League.
And to conclude, another interesting piece of statistics. Andreas Granqvist has capped 50 times for the Sweden national team so far. Of these games 32 belong to the 7-year period of his career before FC Krasnodar, while in less than 3 years with the Bulls he has capped 18 times for Sweden. And besides, it was during his Russian era when he became a leading player of his national team and its vice-captain going so far as captaining the Blågult once.
