Marcus Berg captained Team Sweden in a game with Portugal

Ten FC Krasnodar players had been called to the international matches staged under the aegis of FIFA from 6 to 8 September 2020. Another series of games involving their national teams resulted in various outcomes.

The Russia national team goes on with their mighty streak. The squad led by Stanislav Cherchesov won ten out of the last eleven games with the goal difference of 38-8. On MD 2 of the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League the Russians scored three goals against Hungary in the first 46 minutes. They conceded two goals afterwards but ultimately kept the win alive. Yuri Gazinsky came in as a substitution on the 67th minute, while Sergei Petrov and Yegor Sorokin stayed in reserve.

Marcus Berg led Team Sweden with a captain’s armband in a game with Portugal. As a result, both the Krasnodar striker and his teammate, midfielder Kristoffer Olsson, played a full 90 minutes. The game itself went bad for the Blågult. On the 44th minute Gustav Svensson was sent off, hence the Swedes were left with one man down. Later a double brace by Cristiano Ronaldo brought three points to the Portuguese.

Aleksandr Martynovich the centre-back contributed to the away win of his Belarus national team against Kazakhstan on MD 2 of the UEFA Nations League. The White Wings won 2-1, and Martynovich played the full game.

The Russia national under-21 football team failed to overcome Poland in the away game of the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification. The home team won 1-0. Matvei Safonov the keeper played a full 90, Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov and Daniil Utkin came in as substitutions on the 46th and 57th minute, respectively.
