Charles Kaboré Became a Player of FC Krasnodar

A 27-year-old midfielder was loaned by the black-greens until the end of the current season with a right of purchase

Charles Kaboré was born on 9 February 1988 in Burkina Faso where he began to go in for football.  He went all the way from the junior national youth team of his country to the first national team the colors of which he has been defending since 2006. He has made 62 caps for the national team scoring 3 goals and winning the silver medals of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

As for his club career, until 17 years old Kaboré played for the U-teams of his country signing his first professional contract in 2006 with AS Libourne, the club that was playing in the French Ligue 2. This young, mighty and talented halfback, able to play both as a defensive midfielder and closer to the attacking line, soon enough attracted attention of the scouts from the clubs in the French top football division, so in 2008 Charles moved to Olympique de Marseille. During the 5 years he spent in Marseille Kaboré received his second French citizenship winning the Ligue 1 championship (2009/10) once, Coupe de la Ligue three times and Trophée des Champions twice.

In February 2013 Charles moved to Russia signing a contract with FC Kuban Krasnodar. Since then he made 78 appearances for this team helping it to rank 5th in the Season 2012/13 and qualify for the UEFA Europa League, and he also went as far as the final of the Russian Cup with the Yellow-Greens last season.

FC Krasnodar agreed with FC Kuban upon the terms of the player’s loan until 31 May 2016 with a right of his purchase. Soon Charles Kaboré is to be put on the entry list of the Bulls for the Season 2015/16 under the number 77.
