20 February 2022. Spain. Marbella. Marbella Football Center. Scattered clouds. 15 degrees.

In the first minutes of the Marbella scrimmage the pressing unleashed by the Rostov side made it difficult for FC Krasnodar to move from defense to offense. The Bulls found a way to overcome it though. One the 15th minute Spertsyan intercepted a bad pass from Bastos and rolled the ball to Claesson with a bounce. Botheim made good use of a low cross from the Swede, and the black-greens thus scored an opener. By the 25th minute they were two goals ahead since Claesson had met a marvelous cross that came from Wanderson.

It was now FC Rostov’s turn to look for a way out, and they did have some tricks up their sleeves. On the 30th minute Osipenko met a high cross from Poloz and scored. Half an hour later that same Poloz executed a penalty kick that had been ordered for a foul against Bayramyan.

And yet, the Bulls should have won this game anyway. In the time that remained they hit the crossbar three times (Spertsyan once and Botheim twice), but Lady Luck was wearing yellow-blue colors tonight. On the last day of the Spanish training camps, a friendly game between FC Krasnodar and FC Rostov resulted in a scoring draw.
