27 August 2019. Krasnodar. FC Krasnodar Stadium. Clear. 25 degrees. 34627 spectators.

The first UEFA Champions League goal in the history of FC Krasnodar Stadium took place on the 10th minute of the game. Wanderson Maciel failed with a low cross, but the pass behind he took on his second attempt was flawless. Marcus Berg kicked the ball further and allowed Daniil Utkin to handle it next to the 6-yard line and take a shot that sent both the ball into the net and a huge charge of joy to the stands.

The opener replay had not finished yet on the giant screen, when Olympiacos scored an equalizer. El-Arabi exploited a series of rebounds in the penalty area and fired the ball on target past Kritsyuk who had left his goal area. Even worse, soon enough FC Krasnodar had to make a forced substitution in the first half again, same way it had happened in the first leg of the UCL play-offs. On the 32nd minute an injury made the Bulls lose Suleymanov, who had executed a rather prospective free kick a few minutes prior.

Early in the second half the Thrylos put themselves in the lead when El-Arabi sneaked on his chance again a few meters away from the goal. The black-greens had an opportunity to turn the course of the game by means of a free kick, but José Sá coped with a nasty shot taken by Ignatyev.

FC Krasnodar lost to the Greek club in a two-match clash, so the Bulls will now continue their European campaign in the UEFA Europa League group stage.
