FC Krasnodar Has Agreed on the Transfer for the Icelander Jón Guðni Fjóluson

FC Krasnodar and IFK Norrköping (Sweden) have agreed on the transfer details for the Iceland national team centre-back Jón Guðni Fjóluson who is now to move to our club.

Jón Guðni Fjóluson was born on 10 April 1989 in Þorlákshöfn, Iceland, a port town populated by a little over 1500 people. His football career began in 2007 at the age of 17 when he made his debut with the first team of Knattspyrnufélagið Fram, the club from Reykjavík.

This young towering (195 cm tall) defender immediately attracted attention of the scouts, so he took numerous visits to the top European club for try-outs, Bayern Munich and PSV Eindhoven among them. Jón Guðni moved to the continent only in summer 2011 however after signing a contract with the Belgian Beerschot AC. Half a year later he moved to Sweden, where he has been playing until now for GIF Sundsvall at first and then for IFK Norrköping.

In 2010 Fjóluson received his first summon to the Iceland national team, and so far he has capped 13 times by the Strákarnir okkar scoring one goal.

The player will arrive shortly to Krasnodar, where he is to pass a medical examination and following its successful result a personal contract shall be signed with him.
