Cristian Ramírez to Become a Player of FC Krasnodar

FC Krasnodar squad will be supplemented soon by the 22-year-old defender of the Ecuador national team, Cristian Ramírez. His contract will be signed in January 2017.

Cristian Leonel Ramírez Zambrano was born on 12 August 1994 in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Ecuador. He began his professional career in the Independiente del Valle club from Sangolquí, where he made a debut in the Ecuadorian Serie A on 28 April 2011 at the age of 16.

Despite his young age, this agile left-footed full-back quickly earned a place in the first squad of his team. As early as next year, scouts from Europe began watching the Ecuadorian attentively. Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. were interested in him, but Fortuna Düsseldorfer actually became his first club in the Old World when he moved there in 2013. He also made his debut for the national team in the same year. So far he has made 8 appearances for Team Ecuador scoring one goal (against Chile).

Cristian was a rotation player in Fortuna, so in summer 2014 he was given on a loan to another club of the German 2. Bundesliga, Nürnberg. In the beginning of 2015 he was loaned again by Ferencvárosi TC from Hungary, and Cristian won the Hungarian League Cup 2015/15 with them. In summer last year, the Ecuadorian full-back (he had managed to secure his position at the left pitch side of the lineup by then) signed a full-fledged contract with the Budapest club and helped his team win the national championship title.

As for now, FC Krasnodar has clarified the details of the player’s transfer with Ferencváros and signed an agreement with the Hungarian club. Cristian Ramírez will undergo a medical examination in Krasnodar on 9 January, and if everything goes well a long-term personal contract will be signed with him.
