On 16 November the final MD 4 fixtures of UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying were played. FC Krasnodar defender Ragnar Sigurðsson took part in one of those.

He spent the whole 90 minutes on a pitch with his Iceland national team in an away game vs. Czech Republic and scored an opener on the 9th minute of the match after coming to the opposition’s penalty area and making an accurate header from a short distance. Alas, as the game progressed the home team managed to turn the tide and celebrated a 2:1 comeback victory. Pavel Kadeřábek of the Czech Republic national team scored an equalizer in the injury time added to the first half, and on the 61st minute Emil Hallfreðsson from Iceland scored an own goal.

After the MD 4 Czech Republic is at the head of Group A with 12 points, while Iceland national team is the second with 9 points having suffered their first defeat in the qualifying. The third team in the table is Netherlands with 6 points.
