Liran Liany will bring out the teams to the pitch as a head of the referee team. He was born on 24 May 1977. In 2010 he received the FIFA referee status and since then he has been a referee for 34 international matches of various level. Among them are 2 qualification matches of the FIFA World Cup, 1 qualification match of the UEFA European Championship, 3 matches of UEFA Champions League and 14 matches of various rounds of UEFA Europa League (eight of those during the group stage). This will be his first attendance to the match with a Russian team.

Liran Liany will be joined on 18 September in Lille by the assistants referees Shabtai Nahmias, Oren Bornshtein and additional assistant referees Orel Tsvika Grifeeld and Menashe Masiah. The fourth official is Moshe Bohbot.
