On Tuesday, 9 September, several more fixtures of the first matchday of UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying round took place, and also some friendly matches between the national teams were held. In two of these matches players of FC Krasnodar took part.

Ragnar Sigurðsson, a centre back, spent whole 90 minutes in the fixture of Group A against Turkey helping Iceland national team in a home game to smash 3:0 one of its major competitors in a fight for tickets to the final part of UEFA Euro 2016 in France. In the first period Jón Daði Böðvarsson brought the home team forward and after the half-time the job was finished by Gylfi Þór Sigurðsson and Kolbeinn Sigþórsson.

Odil Akhmedov, a midfielder, scored two goals for Uzbekistan against New Zealand national team which suffered a 1:3 defeat in a friendly match in Tashkent. Akhmedov marked himself with goals on the 41st and 58th minutes, and on the 82nd minute when the score was already 3:0 he was substituted. The first goal by Odil was particularly splendid as he shot a screamer on the run eighteen meters away from the goal into the top corner of the away team’s net.

Server Djeparov of the home team scored one more goal on the 78th minute, and the New Zealanders were able only to score a single goal shortly before the final whistle with an effort made by Jeremy Brockie.
